Watering is very important for your lawn’s health. Monte Lawn Services wants to help you keep your lawn looking sharp during the hot and dry summer months and conserve water at the same time.

Below are some helpful water conservations tips that will keep your lawn green during the summer and help the environment as well.

Water Conservation Tips

Your lawn only needs about one inch of water per week or roughly one hour of sprinkling. A half hour twice a week is sufficient for your lawn to remain looking sharp during the hot summer months.

Watering is best early in the mornings or early in the evenings as there is less evaporation. Try to avoid watering late at night as it may cause problems with fungus and mold.

Your lawn retains more moisture if it is mowed to about 1.5 to 2.0 inches (4 to 5 cm) in length, instead of shorter.
